About Us

We are a community of believers who have discovered the joy of salvation by faith through God’s grace. We are eager to share the good news of salvation with you.

Brief History

The Nepean Seventh-day Adventist Church started as a branch Sabbath school in May 1990 under the leadership of Pastor Eddy Johnson. It became the “Parkwood Company” in October 1992. Less than two years later, in April 1994, the Nepean Seventh-day Adventist Church was formally established.

For the next 16 years, it rented worship space at the Parkwood Presbyterian Church at 10 Chesterton Drive, Nepean. In April 2010, the Nepean Seventh-day Adventist Church moved to its own premises in the community of Barrhaven, a growing suburb in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America.

We would be happy to have you join us in worship or at one of the church events listed on our calendar.
